Repurposed and Ready for Your Garden

Our Master Gardener volunteers have given these sturdy pickle barrels a second life as 55-gallon rain barrels for your home garden and landscape.

Made from heavy-duty, food-grade plastic, each barrel is outfitted with a screened top, spigot and overflow port. The screw-top lid keeps the screen securely in place while making it easy to open the barrel for periodic cleaning.

Each rain barrel includes:

  • 55-gallon food-grade barrel

  • Screened opening to keep out leaves and debris

  • Spigot for easy access to stored water

  • Overflow port

  • Removable screw-top lid for cleaning

Why collect rainwater?

Once again, our Master Gardeners have repurposed these pickle barrels to be used as rain barrels in your garden. These are 55-gallon heavy duty plastic, food grade barrels.  They are equipped with a top screen, spigot and an overflow port.  Rain Barrel with spigot and top strainer. The screw-top lid makes the top screen more secure and also allows for periodic cleaning.
