🌿Holiday Porch Pot Workshops
The Brunswick County Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteers’ Holiday Porch Pot Workshop was a wonderful celebration of the season—and a tremendous success! The workshop sold out in just 23 minutes, filling the hoop house with 25 enthusiastic and creative participants eager to give their favorite containers a festive winter refresh.
Participants brought planters of all shapes and sizes. The day before the class, Master Gardener volunteers foraged greenery from their yards and the Botanical Garden. Materials included Magnolia leaves, Loblolly Pine, Wax Myrtle, Cryptomeria, and sprigs of Holly with bright red berries. Pinecones, seed pods, and other natural accents added texture and personal flair, ensuring every design was truly one of a kind. All topped off with beautiful, colorful bows.
Master Gardeners were on hand throughout the workshop, offering design guidance, practical tips, and creative inspiration.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this festive, hands-on experience—and to the Master Gardener volunteers who made it such a memorable way to welcome the winter season. And thanks to Michele Tullai - for bringing this festive workshop to life!

A touch of holiday magic at the Botanical Garden! Patty and Joanne used greenery, bows and balls to create beautiful arrangements in Celebration and Live Oak garden urns. It is worth a walk through the garden to see them!
