🌸Growing Connections, Expanding Reach: Honoring Chuck Gulas

The April Helping Hands Award is awarded to Chuck Gulas!

Chuck is the driving force behind our Association’s Facebook presence, and his impact continues to grow. As our Facebook administrator, Chuck posts thoughtfully and consistently each week—sharing a mix of educational content, garden inspiration, and timely promotions that keep our community engaged and informed.

Thanks to his efforts, our audience has grown to more than 950 followers and continues to climb toward an exciting milestone of 1,000. Chuck is proactive in gathering content, drawing from the Weekly Weeder, fellow Master Gardener photos, travels, home gardens, and highlights from our Botanical Gardens and Extension programs.

Chuck has been a certified Master Gardener since 2024. He can be found working often in the Live Oak or Edible Garden. This year he taught the “Edibles” chapter to our new class of interns and was also there to answer questions about what it’s like to be a master gardener.

Diligent, collaborative, and easy to work with, Chuck brings both creativity and reliability to his role. His work helps extend our reach, strengthen our visibility, and connect more people to the mission of the Master Gardener program.

For these reasons, we recognize Chuck Gulas as the recipient of the Helping Hands Award for April 2026.
