Description: Natchez is an early season thornless blackberry with upright canes. Fruit is large and plentiful on this vine. Some fall pruning may be needed. Winter hardiness in the coastal area is high. Peak fruiting generally occurs by July 1. Thornless blackberries offer considerable advantages because they are easy to harvest, train, and prune without injury from thorns. These are two-year plants and should fruit this spring. These berries fruit best on prior year’s growth. Good disease resistance. Grows well on trellis.
