Description:  Blue mistflower (also called Hardy Ageratum) is a spreading, herbaceous native perennial valued for its soft, fuzzy clusters of blue flowers that bloom from late summer into fall. It naturally occurs along streams, ditches, and moist meadows and is especially valuable for late-season pollinators. Ageratum prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, humus-rich soils that do not dry out. It grows 18 inches to 3 feet tall and wide. Taller plants may be cut back in spring to prevent flopping. It spreads by rhizomes and self-seeding. Well suited for mass plantings.
