Description:  A perennial known for its long-lasting violet-blue flowers, exceptional pollinator attraction, and its role as a sturdy, reliable, and aromatic addition to modern garden landscapes.  Often described as a "foundational" pollinator plant, it is widely utilized for its long bloom time (July to September/October), disease resistance, and ability to thrive in varied, well-drained soils.  It will grow 2-3 feet tall and 1-2 feet wide in full sun to partial shade in well-drained soils. It is tolerant of dry soils and heat once established. Suitable for mass plant in a perennial border.

Also considered an herb, this plant has a distinct Anise scent was commonly grown near colonial kitchens for teas and remedies. Agastache first documented in America 1814.

Wildlife Values:   As a pollinator plant, it attracts bees, butterflies, songbirds, and hummingbirds. Plant offers nesting material for birds.
