🛠️Creative Vision, Tireless Service: Honoring Team Tullai

For the month of May we are recognizing Team Tullai - Michele and Mike as our Master Gardeners of the Month.

There were so many accolades and accomplishments for Team Tullai! Here are just a few of them.

Team Michele and Mike brought idea of the Wine Bottle Wall to life; they constructed, collected, cleaned, and even designed some wine bottles. They may have even contributed a wine bottle or two to the wall. 🍾

They have been engaged in all aspects of developing and supporting the Botanical Garden from planning and plantings to budget and irrigation. They tackled the Rain Garden and Crevice Garden; they are leading the effort in completing Habitat for Humanity landscaping and propagate many of the plants they supply, including Michele promoting and providing new home owners herbs. As Team Leaders for the Reflection Garden, they have created a relaxing meditative spot for many to enjoy, with local artists selecting this garden for their inspiration.

Michele has dedicated years supporting the Association’s financial health, mentoring new board members, and volunteering for workshops and committees. She works tirelessly and selflessly with an open heart and open mind to the betterment of the Association and Extension.

Mike was instrumental in construction of the Fort Fence, and works tirelessly with garden irrigation, hoop house and greenhouse operations, and hardscapes. Mike is a handyman extraordinaire and an enthusiastic teacher and leader.

Individually each of them is an outstanding, and a committed member of the Association but together as a team, they are a powerhouse of information, support, dedication and guidance.

As a non-profit organization, we are dependent upon volunteers for the very life our plants, the Botanical Garden and our entire Master Gardener Community. We extend our appreciation, gratitude and overwhelming thanks to Michele and Mike Tullai.

Your dedication and hard work are deeply appreciated. Thank you!
