🌱 Visit the Master Gardener℠ Booth!

Volunteers from the Master Gardener program will be staffing an educational table at the North Carolina Rice Festival website on Saturday, March 7, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. We’ll be there all day sharing information and resources about native plants, including planting guides, species recommendations, and tips on supporting pollinators and local wildlife. Stop by to chat, pick up free educational materials, and learn how you can bring more native beauty and ecological resilience to your own landscape this spring!

The North Carolina Rice Festival is a vibrant community celebration honoring the history and cultural heritage of rice cultivation and the Gullah Geechee traditions in coastal southeastern North Carolina. Held at the historic Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson site along the Brunswick River, the Festival offers a full day of live music, storytelling, historical and cultural presentations, arts and crafts, children’s activities, food vendors, and demonstrations that reflect the region’s past and present. Visitors can enjoy scenic river views, explore educational exhibits, and connect with local artisans and community organizations—all while celebrating this unique part of North Carolina’s heritage.

We look forward to seeing you there and helping inspire your spring gardening! 🌼🌿
