🌿Plant Healer, Garden Leader: Honoring Rex Wright
Rex is a Lead in the Curbside Garden where he has worked to transform that garden into what it is today. He is knowledgeable of all the plants within the garden, giving each of the plants the specific and particular attention it needs to thrive. He is also known to be a bit of a Medic to failing plants. Taking failing plants into his Private Home Hospital, giving it special attention, nurturing it, researching it, revitalizing it and returning vibrant plant back to the garden.
Rex, although a quiet reserved man, he enjoys sharing his knowledge and his experiences with visitors and fellow Master Gardeners. He is a quiet force in the garden, at events and in meetings but his words are met with attention and the weight of a confident, knowledgeable, patient, compassionate human being.
Rex has been a strength and energy to the MG Program since 2023 when he started out as an Intern, logging the Most Intern Hours for the 2023 class. Beyond the MG Program, and Botanical Garden, Rex spends time working with the youth and dedicated MG’s in the Restitution Program; as well as volunteering within the Brunswick County as a dog walker with the Animal Shelter.
Please join us in congratulating and celebrating Rex and his accomplishments!!
